Samantha Kramer is a musician, yogi, and a lover of nature, food, animals, and connecting with others.

As a violinist, Samantha has earned recognition in several competitions, including First Prize in the Hamden Symphony Concerto Competition and a top prize in the Hartford Symphony Orchestra Young Artists’ Competition.

An avid chamber musician, Samantha has participated in summer programs including Greenwood Music Camp, the Bowdoin International Music Festival, the Sarasota Music Festival, Madeline Island Chamber Music, and the Colorado College Summer Music Festival. These experiences have played a significant role in fostering her love for collaborative music-making.

Originally from West Hartford, Connecticut, Samantha studied violin with Teri Einfeldt at the Hartt School Community Division from age 5 to 17. Samantha is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory, where she studied with David Bowlin and Amy Lee. She is currently studying with Bing Wang, the associate concertmaster of the LA Philharmonic, at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music.

Samantha has played in masterclasses for many widely acclaimed musicians, including Midori, Jessie Montgomery, and members of the Emerson and Danish String Quartets. She has performed with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, and the Sarasota Orchestra. Samantha performs on a beautiful 2016 Yann Poulain violin made in Monpellier, France.

Samantha has been practicing yoga since 2022 and received her RYT-200 hour certification from Sacred Paths in 2026. She aims to help other musicians make music-making a more holistic practice through yoga and meditation.

In addition to her love for forest bathing, urban hiking (she’s always on the lookout for the best matcha and bookstore), and getting creative in the kitchen, Samantha adores baby elephants, public libraries, and cheering for her friends at chamber music concerts.
